As Home Instead Pasadena & Monrovia celebrates their 10th anniversary this year, they received the franchisor Visionary Award at Home Instead Global Convention. Honored to bring this award back to their community, Home Instead will donate $15K each to Pasadena Meals on Wheels, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Community Resource Center for Aging, and Convalescent Aid Society.
“As a result of state and federal funding cuts, our local non-profits need all our support now more than ever. Our Home Instead Pasadena & Monrovia offices are pleased to support these great organizations that help so many of our community,” said Dr. Greg Sanchez, owner of Home Instead for Pasadena & Monrovia.
“These organizations were selected as recipients, because like Home Instead, they are addressing the top five reasons why seniors become unsafe at home – falls & mobility issues; cognitive decline; medication mismanagement; poor nutrition & dehydration; and social isolation & depression.”
Dr. Sanchez discovered his passion for senior home care through his experience taking care of his grandmother, who just celebrated her 100th birthday this year. It’s this passion that inspired him to open the Home Instead Pasadena & Monrovia office 10 years ago, which has since cared for over 1,400 seniors in that time.
