The Altadena Chamber of Commerce’s Monthly Mixer on Thursday, March 31, will discuss March as Women’s History Month and “Women in Science – The Importance of Community Outreach,” an online event starting at 11 a.m.
Thursday’s event features Joycelyn Ferguson, Chief Development Officer of the Huntington Medical Research Institute.
Chamber business mixers are typically held on the fourth Thursday of each month and hosted by Chamber members at various locations.
The mixers attract businesses and community leaders in search of valuable contacts. Attendees have the opportunity to network with business professionals, view the host location and enjoy food, drinks, raffle prizes and much more.
Attendance costs $5 for non-members and no charge for members.
The Altadena Chamber of Commerce and Civic Association was incorporated in 1924 to promote the commercial, industrial, civic and general interests of the Altadena community and its trade area.
As a non-profit organization, the Chamber relies upon membership dues and volunteer labor to staff an office and provide services to the community. Membership is open to any person, association, corporation, partnership, estate or other business entity that shares the goals and objectives of the Chamber for the benefit of the entire community.
The Chamber meets every first Tuesday of the month and produces special events, hosts periodic mixers, maintains a web site and provides information about Altadena to visitors, residents and businesses.
If you are looking at becoming a member of the Altadena Chamber of Commerce, or are already a member trying to grow your business and find creative partnerships, join an in-person, socially safe, friendly Chamber mixer. Check the Chamber’s website for updates and schedules.
