STAFF REPORT
Published on Jun 26, 2024

The Langham Huntington, Pasadena has partnered with the Pasadena Humane to celebrate the dog days of summer by launching a fundraising campaign, “Cocktails for a Cause.”

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of summer libations named after dogs will be donated to the Pasadena Humane to help save the lives of abandoned and unloved dogs, as well as cats, birds, turtles and even reptiles.

Every Wednesday starting June 25th through August 25 (National Dog Day) from 4p-8p, drinks named in honor of canines will be available. Partner Southern Glazer Wine and Spirits will be present at each event and will provide the spirits for the cocktails.

Each week, a different spirit will be highlighted, such as bubbles with Chandon, Tequila with Don Julio, Vodka with Kettle One, Gin with Tanqueray and even a custom scotch blending with Johnnie Walker. Drink names include Purrrr-Fect Spritz, Prima Poodle, Quirky Corgi, Sassy Chihuahua, and The Mutt.

“We are so grateful to Langham for providing the opportunity to have a fun evening for a good cause at the beautiful Tap Room,” said Dia DuVernet, President & CEO of Pasadena Humane. “Funds raised will go directly towards providing safe shelter, veterinary care, and new beginnings for the thousands of animals Pasadena Humane takes in each year.

“The Langham has always welcomed our guests’ pet dogs. We even have a Langham Doggie Program that pampers your pet with a pink porcelain pet bowl, a plush pink bed pillow, a box of treats, and a signature bandana. We are proud to be able to create an event that will help our furry friends,” said Maria Hidalgo, food and beverage manager.

The next event is Wednesday, July 3 from 4-8 pm. Reservations are not required. For more information, please visit www.langhamhotels.com/pasadena.
