You’re in luck. Pasadena’s leadership and its merchants want to make sure that you have plenty of reasons for keeping your shopping trips close to home, so they’ve planned some exciting holiday doings.
The City of Pasadena and Visit Pasadena are launching the “From Pasadena, with Love” holiday shop local campaign to promote the hundreds of local small and independent businesses. The campaign launches on Small Business Saturday, set for Saturday, November 27, but it will be in full swing through December 24.
“From Pasadena, with Love” features 26 welcome stations at small businesses across Pasadena. Shoppers can grab a chance to win Pasadena-branded swag and experiences. Prizes include tickets to Rose Parade, the Cruel World Music Festival, Just Like Heaven Music Festival Passes, Kidspace Children’s Museum Family Packs, and the Pasadena Playhouse.
The gifting action will sparkle throughout the 22 blocks of Old Pasadena, home to more than 125 eager independent businesses offering up unique merchandise, dining, and services.
These locally-owned small businesses line the district’s side streets and alleys—and it’s probably been a while since you visited your favorite shops and discovered all the new ones.
There are also 50 additional businesses that display that independent store spirit—businesses that offer only a few locations and lend themselves to that special vibe of Old Pasadena.
And now hotels like the Courtyard Marriott Hotel Stay, and the ritzy Langham Huntington Pasadena as well as its luxurious Pasadena Chuan Spa are also offering Gift Certificates for stays and visits.
Gift Certificates to local restaurants and shops are also available for lucky winners, including meals at Gale’s Italian Restaurant, Cerveceria Del Pueblo, Coffee & Plants, El Dorado, Elisa B, Float Pasadena, Homage, Koko’s Mediterranean Café, Lucky Baldwin’s, Pasadena Antique Mall, Love Bug & Me, Mercadito Monarca, Remainders Creative Reuse, Walker/Viden Luxury Consignment, April Blooms, and the Pasadena Sandwich Company.
Shoppers might also win certificates from Jones Coffee Roasters, Kidspace Children’s Museum, Monica Linda Photography, GLOW Beauty, Spenga Pasadena, Stride Pasadena, Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N’ Waffles, Local Power Washers, and The Soap Kitchen.
Twenty-six campaign welcome stations, located citywide in Pasadena, will offer opportunities for the public to win Pasadena-branded swag and experiences. To view the full list of welcome station locations, click right here.
