The League of Women Voters, LA Progressive, and ACLU Pasadena are teaming up to host a webinar on Sunday, October 11, to discuss whether or not the U.S. Supreme court is helping or hurting democracy following the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in September.
The fall term of the Supreme Court began on October 5, and already the justices are considering the new cases to be heard. The webinar will expound on what a 6-3 conservative majority will mean for decades to come.

She is the founding director of the UC Irvine School of Law Center for Biotechnology and Global Health and its acclaimed Reproductive Justice Initiative. She serves on the ACLU National and Southern California boards of directors. She recently authored “Policing the Womb: Indivisible Women and the Criminalization of Motherhood.”
Stephen Rohde is the Past President of the ACLU Board of Directors. A retired constitutional lawyer, lecturer, writer, and political activist, he is immediate past chair of the ACLU Foundation of Southern California, and the founder and current chair of Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace.
