A new breakfast burrito restaurant, bbad (Breakfast Burritos All Day), is set to open at 928 E. Colorado Blvd., Suite 101, in Pasadena. The establishment will be located inside the Pasadena Hotel & Pool in the South Lake Avenue area, according to a blog post by Realtor Victor Caballero.

bbad’s concept revolves around “music-inspired cuisine” that fuses California flavors with California culinary traditions.

“At bbad, we are passionate about bringing together the vibrant flavors of California and the rich culinary traditions of California,” the restaurant said on its website, www.bbad.la

The eatery began as a farmer’s market venture in West Hollywood before expanding into catering and popup events during and after the pandemic. Now, bbad is preparing to open its first brick-and-mortar location.

The restaurant’s philosophy emphasizes simple, high-quality ingredients prepared correctly to achieve optimal flavor without unnecessary additives.

“The bbad menu encapsulates this philosophy,” the company’s website explains, describing their offerings as a straightforward menu that is “simple, delicious, and responsibly sourced.”

In addition to serving breakfast burritos, bbad plans to offer catering services for various events, including music industry parties and film production wrap celebrations.

“Whether you’re a music company in need of catering for your next Grammy Party or a production company in need of a fun experience for your next Wrap Party, you can book us,” the restaurant’s website says.

bbad also intends to launch a unique initiative called “Collabs,” described as “a visionary fusion of gastronomy and melody that transcends boundaries.” This program aims to bring together renowned musicians and bbad’s chef to create innovative culinary experiences, forging “a dynamic synergy across art, culture, music, and cuisine,” the website says.

The South Lake Avenue Business Association’s website notes that bbad will offer breakfast, catering, and online ordering services. However, an official opening date for the Pasadena location has not been announced.
