Descanso Gardens invites visitors to experience its nocturnal transformation during “Descanso After Dark” on Saturday, September 13 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

“Don’t miss Descanso After Dark—see how the garden comes alive at night!” spotlights the Descanso Gardens marketing team.

The evening features guided night hikes at three time slots, a silent disco with The Flashdance DJs, and a Creepy Crawler Bug Tent. Environmental Educator Jason “Journeyman” Wise will lead a Bat Walk with Q&A. “We’ll let our eyes adjust and then use all our senses to look for nocturnal animals, including bats, owls, and toads,” Wise explains. Stargazing sessions run from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Admission is $30 for members and $40 for non-members, with advance registration required. Non-members visiting outside event hours need a separate daytime ticket ($18 for adults).

Parking is complimentary.
