The December 20 “Kitty Bingo” event at their shelter will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering participants aged 18 and over games among resident cats.
The woman-owned nonprofit, which opened in 2021 at 1780 E Washington Blvd., currently houses between 30 and 40 cats available for adoption in its lounge space.
Working in formal partnership with Kitten Rescue of Los Angeles, Tail Town Cats focuses on rescuing animals from high-kill shelters and dangerous street conditions throughout the region.
The organization has successfully placed more than 400 cats in permanent homes since its founding, while educating the public about building positive relationships with animals.
Beyond adoption services, the lounge hosts weekly events for kittens too young for their regular program, along with art shows, painting classes, pilates sessions and games.
The facility maintains strict protocols to protect its feline residents and volunteers, including prohibiting visitors from wearing perfumes or other strong fragrances in the lounge area.
Tail Town Cats, which operates as a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, channels all profits back into animal care and facility maintenance.
The organization welcomes visitors seeking both adoption opportunities and casual interaction with cats Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last entry at 4 p.m.
