Pasadena Humane will host a comprehensive dog adoption workshop on Saturday, July 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The workshop titled “What To Expect When You’re Adopting: Dogs” targets people considering adopting a dog or puppy. Participants will learn how to choose a new pet and prepare their homes for arrival.
The two-hour session covers essential supplies needed for new dogs. Pasadena Humane staff will explain how to introduce new pets to existing animals and children in the household.
Workshop attendees will receive instruction on basic canine behavior. The program includes helpful enrichment tips for new pet owners to ensure successful integration.
The educational session aims to provide prospective pet owners with necessary tools. Participants will gain knowledge about what to expect when bringing a new dog or puppy into their lives.
Participants receive a voucher worth $50 off adoption fees. The discount applies to dogs or puppies adopted within seven days of the workshop. Each party is limited to one voucher.
Sessions run hourly throughout the event duration. This format allows multiple groups to attend the same day.
