The Pasadena Leos Club is hosting its second annual toy drive this December, building on the success of last year’s initiative. The student-run organization thanks everyone who donated last year as they continue their mission to support children in need through toy and monetary donations.
The drive emphasizes that toys are not just entertainment but essential for child development, while focusing on helping children present in the local area. The Pasadena Leos Club has come together to raise funds and donations for children in need during the month of December.
The collection event will take place on Saturday, December 21st, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., with Leos volunteering in front of the Pasadena Senior Center (85 E Holly St. Pasadena CA 91103). All donations will benefit the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House and the LA General Pediatrics.
The Pasadena Area Leos Club operates under the sponsorship of Pasadena Host Lions Club, which has served the community for over 100 years. Together, the Lions and Leos work in the Pasadena community to help people in need. The Pasadena Leos integrate the three values of “Leadership, Experience, Opportunity” to continue to “kindly and humbly serve” individuals in the Pasadena area.
Throughout the past several years, including during Covid-19, the club has organized various drives for donated books and food. For the holidays, they are proud to announce the return of their Toy Drive. The organization is currently seeking new members of the youth, high school and college aged, who are interested in serving their community.
The Pasadena community is encouraged to participate by donating new toys or making monetary contributions. Those seeking additional information about the toy drive, making a donation, and/or becoming a member can visit the Pasadena Leos Club website at https://pasadenaleos.weebly.com/ or contact them via email at pasadenaleosclub@gmail.com.
