On October 24, a group of VIP guests gathered at The University Club of Pasadena for an exclusive wine tasting event in preparation for the Pasadena Museum of History’s Centennial Gala. The evening was hosted by William F. Kruse, Esq. of Sommelier Sponsor Lagerlof, LLP, alongside Robert Hartstein, The University Club’s General Manager, who guided attendees through the wine selection process.

The Centennial Gala, scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2024, marks a significant milestone for the Pasadena Museum of History. This black-tie event not only celebrates the museum’s 100th anniversary but also honors individuals and organizations that have made substantial contributions to Pasadena’s rich heritage.

The gala will recognize several distinguished honorees: Centennial Honorees Bill and Carol Thomson and 2024 Contemporary History Maker Honorees Pasadena City College, the PCC Foundation, Don and Maria Schweitzer, and Whittier Trust. Gala co-chairs Sally Bixby and Karen Craig, along with representatives from the Gala committee, Museum trustees, and previous Contemporary History Maker honorees, participated in the delightful task of selecting wines for the upcoming festivities.

The Pasadena Museum of History has a tradition of honoring Contemporary History Makers for their contributions to the cultural community since 2000. This centennial celebration continues that tradition while marking a century of preserving and sharing Pasadena’s unique history. Those interested in attending this prestigious event can find more information and purchase tickets through the Pasadena Museum of History’s website www.pasadenahistory.org/centennial-gala-2.
