In a festive blend of music and community outreach, Pasadena Village, a network supporting adults over 55, will host a holiday caroling event on Thursday, Dec. 12 at Washington Park Community Center.

The free afternoon gathering from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at 700 E Washington Boulevard will feature traditional holiday carols led by Village member Bruce Christensen on guitar.

Karen Bagnard, an Altadena-based artist organizing the event, welcomes participants to bring cookies to share if they wish, with song lyrics provided to ensure everyone can join in.

The caroling program represents the mission of Pasadena Village, which serves as an intentional community for adults over 55 who aim to maintain independent living while fostering social connections.

The organization, part of a network of 300 similar groups nationwide, currently encompasses more than 200 members who participate in discussion groups, social activities, support groups, and educational programs.

Sponsored by Pegasus Home Health Care, the event reflects Pasadena Village’s focus on creating opportunities for seniors to develop new friendships and meaningful experiences while aging in place.
