Season tickets are now on sale for the six-concert series running from November through May 2026. Brett Mitchell will conduct all performances.
The season opens Nov. 8 with “Symphonie Fantastique” featuring pianist Orion Weiss. The program includes Jim Self’s “Tour de Force,” Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major and Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique.”
“Mendelssohn & Meyer” follows Jan. 24 with violinist Tessa Lark. The concert features Mendelssohn’s “The Hebrides Overture,” Edgar Meyer’s Violin Concerto and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3 “Scottish.”
The Feb. 21 “Tchaikovsky Pathétique” concert showcases pianist Michelle Cann. The program includes Jeffrey Nytch’s “Beacon,” Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 “Pathétique.”
“From the New World” on March 21 features composer Juan Pablo Contreras as special guest. The concert includes Bernstein’s “Three Dance Variations from Fancy Free,” Contreras’ Symphony No. 1 and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World.”
The April 25 “Beethoven Eroica” concert features cellist Julian Schwarz. The program includes Quinn Mason’s “Heroic Overture,” Jennifer Higdon’s Cello Concerto and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 “Eroica.”
The season concludes May 30 with “America @ 250” featuring pianist Joyce Yang. The program includes John Williams’ “Selections from American Journey,” Jonathan Leshnoff’s “Rhapsody on ‘America'” and Copland’s “Appalachian Spring Suite” and “Lincoln Portrait.”
Several pieces mark special occasions. Contreras’ Symphony No. 1 is a co-commission. Higdon’s Cello Concerto and Leshnoff’s “Rhapsody on ‘America'” are west coast premieres.
The symphony notes that artists, programs and dates are subject to change.
