Pasadena Humane is taking to the streets with its Wiggle Waggle Waggin’, bringing adoptable dogs to various locations across the Greater Los Angeles Area. The initiative kicks off with a pop-up event at the Race for the Rescues at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, Oct. 5.

The mobile adoption unit will be present at the Rose Bowl from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., offering potential pet owners the chance to meet and potentially adopt their “new best friend.” This event marks the beginning of a series of pop-up adoption opportunities organized by Pasadena Humane.

Following the Rose Bowl event, the Wiggle Waggle Waggin’ will make appearances at Sierra Subaru of Monrovia on Oct. 19 and Altadena Golf Course on Oct. 26. Both events are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Pasadena Humane, a fixture in the community since 1903, is more than an animal shelter. The organization describes itself as a community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

At its Pasadena campus, the organization provides shelter, dedicated care, and new beginnings for thousands of the community’s most vulnerable animals every year. The nonprofit’s efforts extend far beyond adoption and foster services.

Pasadena Humane offers a range of programs aimed at supporting pet owners and preventing animal surrenders. These include free and low-cost spay/neuter and vaccine services, a pet food pantry, and an animal support call center. In 2023, Pasadena Humane reported assisting over 47,000 animals through various services.

As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, Pasadena Humane relies on community support to continue its mission. The mobile adoption events not only serve to connect pets with potential owners but also raise awareness about the organization’s broader animal welfare initiatives.
