Rod Picott and Jude Johnstone Perform Wednesday Outdoors at the Kutzer Company Courtyard

Published on Oct 14, 2022

Wine & Song returns to the fabulous Kutzer Company courtyard at 720 Mission Street in South Pas. This will be a very special evening featuring a couple of Nashville’s best — Rod Picott and Jude Johnstone. No reserved seats. Gate opens at 6pm. Food (from My Taco:-) and wine available but not included in the ticket price. Bring your own beverage if you like. Tickets are $22 for all seats.

Rod Picott has released thirteen albums over the last twenty years and at the age of fifty-seven his engine is still running strong. Picott, a former construction worker, traded his hammer for a guitar and never looked into the rear view mirror. Picott has written two poetry collections — God In His Slippers and Murmuration (Mezcalita Press). His book of short stories titled Out Past The Wires is published by Working Title Farm. Rod was born in New Hampshire, raised in Maine and has lived in Nashville for twenty-five years. He is unnaturally prolific and released four albums in the last three years to rave reviews.

A native of Maine, Jude Johnstone began writing songs at a young age. At 18, she was “discovered” by E-Street Band saxophonist, Clarence Clemons. Spending time under his wing in New York and New Jersey, she was a fly on the wall as Bruce Springsteen made his ground-breaking album, The River. After a move to Los Angeles, her songs began to be sought after by other artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, and Stevie Nicks. She had a #1 song for Trisha Yearwood, “The Woman Before Me,” which earned her a BMI award. She also penned the title track to Johnny Cash’s 1997 Grammy-winning album “Unchained.”
