In a preview of the pageantry to come on New Year’s Day, twelve of the world’s premier marching bands will take the field today at Pasadena City College’s Robinson Stadium, offering spectators an intimate glimpse of the musical talent that will grace Colorado Boulevard during the 2025 Rose Parade.
The Bandfest presented by REMO event features two distinct performance sessions showcasing award-winning field shows that earned each band its coveted spot in the parade. Yesterday’s Day 1 performances drew families from across the United States and abroad, with today’s Day 2 shows expected to attract similar crowds.
The National Weather Service forecasts favorable conditions for today’s performances, with cloudy skies gradually clearing and temperatures reaching 68 degrees.
The morning session, beginning at 10 a.m. with a pre-show at 9:30 a.m., features the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band & Herald Trumpets, The Lincoln-Way Marching Band, All Star Marching Band Mexico, Rancho Verde Crimson Regiment, Heisinger Pigegarde (Elsinore Girls Marching Band), 605 All Star Band, and The University of Wyoming “Western Thunder” Marching Band.
The afternoon showcase starts at 2 p.m., with a pre-show at 1:30 p.m., presenting six ensembles: the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band & Herald Trumpets returns, joined by the Seminole High School Warhawk Marching Band, United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, Kyoto Tachibana High School Green Band, Los Angeles Unified School District All District High School Honor Band, and Fresno State Bulldog Marching Band.
These performances offer audiences a unique opportunity to see the bands execute their complete field shows before they undertake the challenging 5½-mile march down Colorado Boulevard on New Year’s Day.

The venue, Robinson Stadium at Pasadena City College (1570 E. Colorado Boulevard), offers free parking in Structure 4, accessible from Del Mar Blvd. Gates open one hour before each performance, giving spectators ample time to find their seats before the pre-show entertainment begins.
