The thundering drums and soaring melodies that will fill Pasadena’s Colorado Boulevard on New Year’s Day will first echo through Robinson Stadium, as the 2025 Tournament of Roses presents its annual Bandfest celebration.

The two-day event, scheduled for December 29-30, 2024, offers the public a rare preview of the Rose Parade’s selected marching bands, dancers, and auxiliary groups from across the globe. Each unit will perform the high-energy field shows that led to their selection for the iconic parade.

Tickets, priced at $25 for adults with free admission for children 5 and under, are available exclusively online – no cash or credit sales will be accepted at the venue. Event organizers strongly emphasize that this event traditionally sells out and encourage early ticket purchases.

The Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band & Herald Trumpets will lead each of the three performances. International performers include the Kyoto Tachibana High School Green Band from Japan, the Helsingor Pigegarde (Elsinore Girls Marching Band) from Denmark, and the Banda de Musica Herberto Lopez Colegio Jose Daniel Crespo. Notable university bands include the Jackson State University “Sonic Boom of the South,” University of Oregon Marching Band, and the University of Wyoming “Western Thunder” Marching Band.

Military units will be represented by the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps and The Salvation Army Tournament of Roses Marching Band.

Each performance begins with a pre-show 30 minutes before the main event:

  • Bandfest 1: Sunday, December 29, 2:00 PM (Pre-show at 1:30 PM)
  • Bandfest 2: Monday, December 30, 10:00 AM (Pre-show at 9:30 AM)
  • Bandfest 3: Monday, December 30, 2:00 PM (Pre-show at 1:30 PM)

All performances take place at Robinson Stadium at Pasadena City College, 1570 E. Colorado Boulevard. Attendees must enter through Parking Structure 4 off Del Mar Boulevard, where parking is free. Gates open one hour before each show.
