Tammy Silver, a Rotarian and active member of the Pasadena community, will be the speaker at the Pasadena Weekly Club Meeting on Wed., Dec. 20, the club’s last weekly meeting before Christmas, at the Altadena Town and Country Club. The meeting is open to the public, at a cost of $45.00, which includes lunch.
She will be speaking about “Winter Celebrations from Antiquity to Today.”
Tammy Silver, who grew up in Covina, California, is known for her enthusiasm for all holidays, especially the winter ones that bring together friends and family. She has been active in organizations that sponsor student exchanges and has hosted students from various countries. Currently, she is part of a welcome circle for an Afghan refugee family.
In addition to the Rotary, she serves on the Pasadena City College Board of Trustees, is the president of the Oak Knoll Neighborhood Association, a city commissioner, active in the Tournament of Roses, and is involved with the National Women’s Political Caucus, the Rotary Club said.
The meeting, which will be held at 2290 Country Club Drive in Altadena, is open to both members and non-members. Non-members are welcome to attend for a fee of $45.00, which includes lunch.
Attendees are requested to bring a small flashlight.
