Struggling With a Blank Page? Pasadena Workshop Tackles Writer’s Block

.Writers battling creative blocks can find solutions and community at a free workshop designed to break through barriers at Octavia’s Bookshelf on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The “Writer’s Block: Creative Writing & Meaningful Connection” workshop will be facilitated by Seattle native poet Zahida Sherman, whose work has appeared in “Bustle,” “Healthline,” “Well + Good,” “Afropunk,” and “Blavity.”

Sherman’s writing centers on culture, belonging, and wellness.

The session will feature peer-feedback circles that allow writers to share their work and receive constructive feedback.

The event will take place at Octavia’s Bookshelf, located at 1353 N. Hill Ave., in Pasadena 91104.

The workshop is free of charge.
