Sunday Pups and Pumpkins: Pasadena’s Furry Friends Get Ready to Howl-O-Ween

Published on Oct 26, 2024

Get ready to spot some adorable four-legged ghosts and goblins at Playhouse Village Park this Sunday! Pasadena’s beloved Bark in the Park Howl-O-Ween Parade and Costume Contest is returning to treat local pooches and their humans to a tail-wagging good time.

The free event, hosted by the Playhouse Village Foundation, will transform the park at 701 E. Union Street into a canine carnival from 11 AM to 2 PM on October 27. Dogs of all sizes will strut their stuff in creative costumes, vying for prizes in categories including Best Small Dog Costume, Best Big Dog Costume, and Best Group Costume – perfect for those dynamic duos and pack participants who love to coordinate their Halloween looks.

Beyond the costume parade and contest, furry festival-goers can look forward to treat stations, pup bites, and photo opportunities. Local artists will even be on hand to capture your canine’s character with pet caricatures.

The recently developed Playhouse Village Park proves to be the perfect venue for such pawsome festivities, featuring dedicated areas for both large and small dogs, plenty of walking paths, and convenient amenities including 48 parking spaces and EV charging stations for the environmentally conscious crowd.

For those interested in joining the Halloween fun, additional information is available by contacting the Playhouse Village Association at (626) 744-0340.

This free spooktacular celebration promises plenty of tail-wagging moments and photo opportunities as Pasadena’s four-legged friends show off their Halloween best.
