Tall Men Group – a group formed in 2011 by six Los Angeles performing songwriters – will be performing at the Coffee Gallery Backstage in Altadena on Friday, Nov. 11, starting at 8 p.m.
In March, they were at Coffee Gallery Backstage in a tribute to the band’s late founder Jimmy Yessian, who passed away last year.
Now, Edward Tree, Severin Brown, John Stowers, and Marty Axelrod are returning to their favorite venue for a special show introducing brand new songs and honoring, as always, Jimmy Yessian, who was also their chef.
This show will emphasize in-the-round solo performances of the group’s most recent songs, as they continue their 10-year streak of each writing a new song every month. You’ll hear lots of the group’s trademark vocal harmonies, as well as a complement of whole-band arrangements to close out the evening in grand Tall style.
“If you enjoy top-notch songwriting, memorable lyrics, distinctive voices, solid musicianship and brotherly camaraderie, then this is the show for you,” says the Coffee Gallery Backstage announcement.
Tickets are $20.
