The event, free with general admission, will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in The Huntington’s Kitchen Garden. Attendees can participate in various activities designed to spark creativity and education around the Halloween season.
One highlight of the event is a “Spider Meet and Greet” led by arachnid educator Tyler Young. Visitors will have the opportunity for an up-close encounter with spiders, learning about these often misunderstood creatures and their unique characteristics.
The Huntington is also offering crafting activities to celebrate the season. Participants can create their own Halloween masks.
Another artistic option available to visitors is pumpkin painting. Using papier-mâché pumpkins as canvases, attendees can design and decorate their own festive creations with spirited designs.
On Facebook, The Huntington said “Get ready for spooky season #atTheH! On Oct. 13, make Halloween-themed crafts and meet some eight-legged friends at an event for all ages in our Kitchen Garden.”
This Halloween-themed gathering is part of The Huntington’s “Second Sundays” series, which offers special programming on the second Sunday of each month. The event aims to provide an engaging and educational experience for visitors of all ages.
