Scroll through a bunch of cute, cuddly pets and vote for your favorite in Pasadena Humane’s contest for the best pet pictures to feature in their 2023 Calendar.
On Pasadena Humane’s 2023 Calendar Photo Contest page online, you can either search through the photos already submitted and vote for your favorite pet photo – or you can enter your own pet photo into the contest and get a chance to have it featured in the calendar.
Jamie Holeman, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at Pasadena Humane, said the contest is a fun way you and your pet can help raise funds for animals in need.
“Every year, Pasadena Humane helps thousands of animals in need of shelter, veterinary care, and support services,” Holeman said. “All proceeds from this fundraiser will support our lifesaving programs and services.”
The contest rules say all photo entries must be submitted by 11 p.m. on July 31, 2022 to be eligible. Photos must be submitted online via the contest site, www.gogophotocontest.com/pasadenahumane2023calendar.
Mailed or emailed photos, or photos dropped off physically at Pasadena Humane’s offices, will not be eligible.
Voting is ongoing, and all photo entries that get at least five votes will be included on the collage pages on the 2023 calendar.
“It’s easy to participate! Simply submit your favorite photo of your pet using our online submission platform,” Holeman continued. “Then ask your friends and family to vote for your pet.”
You don’t need to enter a pet in the contest to participate, she said. Anyone can vote for their favorite pet picture. Entries are $25 per photo, and each vote is $1.
After voting ends on July 31 at 11:00 p.m. PDT, the top vote-getters in each category – Dog, Cat, and Other Pets – will be guaranteed a month spread in the 2023 calendar. The top five vote-getters in each category will have their original photo entry featured in a special spread inside the calendar.
“Voting isn’t the only way to see your pet featured on a special month spread. A panel of judges will choose nine eligible original photo entries to be considered for the remaining month spreads in the 2023 calendar,” Holeman explained.
Aside from being featured in the calendar, the first placer and the runner-up in each category will get a customized pet gift basket and a Pasadena Humane tote bag.
