Flames destroyed two cars and damaged an apartment building in Pasadena on Friday evening, officials said.
The fire broke out about 6 p.m. in a first-floor carport beneath an apartment building in the 1000 block of North Raymond Avenue.
In addition to the two scorched cars, the flames also made their way into the building, causing an estimated $100,000 worth of damage, according to city spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.
The vehicles were valued at about $60,000.
No injuries were reported, Derderian said. One apartment unit was left uninhabitable for the night, displacing a single resident.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
