Candidate Keane Completes Ultramarathon

 

Running for City Council isn’t the only type of running that Tricia Keane is doing this year.

The District 2 candidate, also an avid marathoner, completed her first 100-mile race this past Sunday.

Keane finished the grueling Rocky Racoon race in Huntsville State Park, Texas just below the 27-hour mark.

“I could use a nap,” Keane said. “Running 100-miles took dedication and hard work, but finishing this ultramarathon was a life goal of mine.”

Prior to this feat, Keane completed four marathons and 10 ultra-marathons, which is any race longer than the traditional 26.219-mile marathon.

“Now, I want to focus my energy on solving homelessness and housing affordability in Pasadena. With almost two decades of experience in local government, I will bring results and innovation to City Hall.” she added.

Keane is running against Felicia Williams, Kevin Litwin and Bo Patatian to replace outgoing Councilwoman Margaret McAustin.

“Pasadena is facing a crisis of housing and homelessness. People who live and work in Pasadena are being priced out of our community. We need someone dedicated to solutions, not the status quo, to tackle our affordability crisis,” she said.
