The producer of Suits, the legal drama TV series Meghan Markle starred in before marrying Prince Harry and being elevated to Duchess of Sussex, said there is a close to zero chance Markle would make even a cameo comeback to the show.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, Aaron Korsh, who created Suits, said he would love seeing Markle come back, but I think its pretty close to zero.”
We love her, we wish her well but I dont think thats happening, Korsh said in a Daily Express UK report.
The Suits creator made the comments in Pasadena while promoting a Suit’s spin off titled Pearson, starring Gina Torres as her Suits character Jessica Pearson.
Markle, whos now about six months pregnant, left her acting career behind before marrying Prince Harry last year. She starred in Suits for seven seasons before that.
Her on-screen husband Patrick J. Adams, who played Mike Ross, also left the show at the end of Season 7.
Suits aired its first series in 2011, and the final season is expected to feature 10 episodes.
Markle played Rachel Zane in the show, a paralegal who has worked at Pearson Hardman for six years.
At the TCA meeting in Pasadena, Korsh also denied a report he was planning to donate millions to charity in order to get Markle back on the show.
“I have not arranged for millions of dollars to be donated to anything on behalf of anyone so that I can tell you, he said. “But as far as the original people coming back, we’re so early in the season that we haven’t formulated what we want to do, so we can’t reach out to people before we know what we want to do.”
Markle studied theatre and international relations at Northwestern University, Illinois before gaining fame as a Hollywood actress.
