Three women were hurt, one of them critically, when their car plummeted off the side of the 210 Freeway in Pasadena on Thursday afternoon, officials said.

The crash took place just before 4 p.m. at the Seco Street offramp of the eastbound 210 Freeway, according to California Highway Patrol logs. The vehicle came to a rest about 50 feet down an embankment with its axles broken.
Firefighters treated three women, including one who was in critical condition, city spokeswoman Lisa Derderian said.
The severely injured woman was 26 years old, she said. The other two patients were 18 and 30 years old.
No further details were available.
The cause and circumstances of the crash was being investigated by the CHP’s Altadena-area office.
