Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services 11th Annual Celebrating Children Spring Gala fundraiser is returning to the magnificent Vibiana, located in the historic core of Downtown Los Angeles, for the second year in a row. In addition to raising funds to help prevent homelessness for transition-age youth in Los Angeles County, guests at the March 28th event will sip cocktails in Vibiana’s charming Garden Courtyard before enjoying dinner in the Main Hall followed by a special musical performance by Davis Gaines, Broadway actor and Los Angeles’ longest-running Phantom of the Opera. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and concludes at 10:30 p.m. and will truly be a night to remember!
The centerpiece of Celebrating Children is the presentation of the Hathaway-Sycamores’ Celebrating Children Award. The 2020 Celebrating Children honoree is Elizabeth Hoxworth in recognition of her tireless dedication, leadership and commitment to improving the lives of children, families and adults in the Los Angeles community. More than 3,540 transition-age youth in Los Angeles County call the streets their home – every night, all year long. Funds raised from this event will provide homes and hope for hundreds of young adults.
The Celebrating Children Spring Gala committee is co-chaired by Pasadena residents Rita Henderson and Karen Palmersheim. Formerly the Community Affairs Manager for Nestlé USA, Rita Henderson is a longtime Hathaway-Sycamores donor and supporter. Karen Palmersheim is the Senior Counsel for Cigna Legal and serves on the Hathaway-Sycamores Board of Directors.
