A single-vehicle traffic collision reportedly occurred at 8:05 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13th in front of Marshall Fundamental school at the intersection of Allen Ave. and Casa Grande St.
According to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Edgar Sanchez Pasadena police officers and the Pasadena Fire Department responded to the scene where they found a minivan on its side. The report indicated that a male victim was still inside the overturned vehicle but was reportedly alert and conscious, complaining of pain.
A second unoccupied vehicle, an older Honda Accord that was parked, reportadly sustained major rear-end damage in the incident.
Northbound traffic on Allen Ave. was reportedly blocked for a short time, reopening at 8:59 a.m.
No other injuries were reported, and no further information was available on the victim’s condition according to Sanchez.
The Pasadena Traffic section is handling the investigation Sanchez said .
In a statement, Marshall Fundamental school Principal Lori Touloumian said, “There was a car accident in front of our campus, on Allen Ave. at approximately 8:05 a.m. No students or staff were injured. One car was overturned. We called for emergency assistance, and Pasadena Fire, Pasadena Police, and EMT arrived on scene to assist. All parties involved in the accident are safe.”
