A 62-year-old Pasadena man was arrested early Tuesday morning after police discovered a loaded, unregistered handgun in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau.
Andre Doss was pulled over at 1:22 a.m. on December 17 near the intersection of Lake Avenue and Bell Street for multiple alleged vehicle code violations, Campeau said. During the stop, the officer reportedly obtained consent to search both Doss and his vehicle.
The officer located a loaded firearm in the driver’s side compartment of the vehicle, according to Campeau, who described the weapon was an unregistered 9mm handgun.
Doss, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was subsequently arrested and booked at the Pasadena Jail on several firearms violations, Campeau said.
