Pedestrian Struck By Pickup, Critically Injured

A  71-year-old woman suffered a brain bleed after being struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of North Lake Avenue and Rio Grande Street in Pasadena.

Campeau said that the victim, who is not a Pasadena resident, was transported to a hospital in critical condition following the collision. The 47-year-old male driver, also not from Pasadena, remained at the scene and was cooperative with authorities

Campeau described it as a slow-speed collision and noted that the Pasadena Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team had responded due to the severity of the injuries.

The incident was captured on video surveillance, Campeau said.

Nothing criminal occurred in that case, Campeau added, although the Traffic Division will continue to investigate who was at fault in the collision.
