One segment runs 658 feet along Sierra Madre Villa Avenue between Sierra Madre Boulevard and Primavera Street. The other runs 600 feet along Sierra Madre Boulevard between Sierra Madre Villa Avenue and Riviera Drive.
Both plans are approved and both jobs are set to finish in October. They carry permits PWUTL2026-00299 and PWUTL2026-00300, searchable at https://mypermits.cityofpasadena.net/EnerGov_Prod/SelfService#/search.
City rules require the permit holder to notify every affected home, business and institution in writing. The letter must arrive at least 48 hours before work begins nearby. A closure or parking restriction that would keep a resident or business from using a property in the normal way requires separate written notice five working days ahead.
NPL Construction is also the contractor on a third Pasadena gas main job. That job runs 442 feet from 2835 E. Foothill Blvd. to Sunnyslope Avenue, and work began in July.
Two more gas main projects are in plan review. One is on Foothill Boulevard between Maple Street and Kinneloa Avenue, the other on Altadena Drive between Colorado and Sierra Madre boulevards.
