ArtCenter College Celebrates Largest-Ever Graduating Class

ArtCenter College of Design celebrated a milestone this spring, honoring its largest-ever graduating class during a special exhibition showcasing student work across multiple creative disciplines. 

The Spring 2025 Grad Show, held April 26 at the Pasadena Convention Center, featured projects from a record 327 graduates. The free public exhibition displayed work spanning animation, furniture design, game design, photography, transportation design and numerous other creative fields. 

“The cats. The cartwheels. The main character energy. We’re still basking in the glow of our Spring 2025 graduation – that celebrated a record 327 graduates and their infinite creativity,” the college posted on social media following the event. 

A centerpiece installation titled “Resilience in the Ashes” added emotional resonance to the celebration. The project responded to recent wildfires that devastated parts of the Pasadena area, incorporating salvaged materials from burned homes. 

The installation held personal significance for its creators. Both Everard Williams, chair of Photography and Imaging, and Jeffrey Sugishita, an ArtCenter alumnus who collaborated on the project, lost their Altadena homes in the January Eaton Fire. 

The exhibition represented what school officials called a rare opportunity for visitors to engage with the next generation of creative professionals while viewing “very high-caliber work” across numerous design disciplines. 

ArtCenter’s graduation ceremonies mark the conclusion of both spring and fall terms.

The next commencement scheduled is on Dec. 20.
