Pasadena’s ArtCenter College of Design is holding its annual Car Classic on Sunday, October 28, this time celebrating the 70th anniversary of the College’s Transportation Design program.
Car Classic 2018 will have auto enthusiasts, car collectors, history buffs and weekend adventurers gathered together to appreciate rare automobiles, motorcycles, and stunning concept cars representing seven decades of ArtCenter’s influence in transportation design.
Car Classic will also allow you an opportunity to meet the innovative designers who brought these visions to life and to hear the stories behind some of the most iconic vehicles of the present.
As ArtCenter says, behind every beautifully designed car, from the 1938 Opel Kapitan to the 2018 Tesla Model 3, stands an innovative designer – one most likely educated at ArtCenter College of Design.
“More than a high-profile car show, ArtCenter’s annual Car Classic honors the very best in industrial design, showcases the College’s strong ties to industry, and celebrates the indelible mark ArtCenter alumni have made on the world of transportation, all in a friendly environment and beautiful location,” according to a College announcement.
Sunday’s Car Classic 2018 will be at ArtCenter’s Sculpture Garden, at 1700 Lida Street in Pasadena, and is open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
