Assemblymember Laura Friedman Endorses Dr. Phlunté Riddle in State Assembly Race

Assemblymember Laura Friedman has endorsed Dr. Phlunté Riddle for California State Assembly District 41, according to a statement issued today by Dr. Riddle’s campaign.

Friedman, who was elected to the California State Assembly in November 2016, is known for her progressive stance on issues such as gun control, health equity, climate change, and affordable housing.

Dr. Riddle, the only District 41 candidate endorsed by Planned Parenthood Advocates Pasadena San Gabriel Valley, is committed to ensuring California remains a safe haven for reproductive health care, including abortion. 

“Now more than ever, we need leaders who will defend our civil rights, strengthen our communities, and increase opportunities for everyone. I am proud to endorse her,” Friedman said in support of Dr. Riddle.

In response to the endorsement, Dr. Riddle said “Assemblymember Laura Friedman has been a progressive champion on the most important challenges before us, and I am honored to have her endorsement.”
