Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary: California Parental Notification Before a Minor’s Abortion Initiative (2012)

The Parental Notification Initiative requires doctors to notify a parent or legal guardian of a girl under the age of 18 before performing an abortion. The California Catholic Conference of Bishops encourages all Catholics and parishes to support this life and soul saving effort. If you believe parents have a right to participate in their daughters’ moral and medical well-being, and that an adult should be notified prior to a surgical abortion for an underage teenager, then please help by signing a signature sheet after Mass next weekend. The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Community enjoins everyone to help get this protective measure on the November 6, 2012 ballot and make California a safer place for its daughters.
