A City spokesperson said today that a survey emailed to an unknown number of local residents which indicated it was a “City of Pasadena Opinion Survey” was in fact not affiliated with the City at all.
The survey, apparently sent by legitimate international public opinion survey firm Qualtrics, told recipients their participation was completely voluntary and confidential.
According to one recipient, the survey featured “questions supporting rent-control and the minimum wage and asked if you were more or less likely to re-elect a councilmember based on their minimum wage position.”
Pasadena Now has not been able to obtain a copy of the actual survey.
Qualtrics has been contacted for comment.
It is unknown who the actual sender was, or the purpose.
