The City of Pasadena will host a Community Engagement Workshop for the Reconnecting Pasadena Project for the 710 Master Plan on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Friendship Pasadena Church, located at 80 W. Dayton St.
The event marks the beginning of the “document and refine” phase — the third and final stage of the planning effort — and will feature a presentation of the latest project design options followed by a moderated panel discussion.
The panel will include members of the project team and subject matter experts who will provide updates on future possibilities for the 710 Stub, including revised land use and circulation concepts.
The discussion will also continue the exploration of potential restorative justice elements tied to the corridor’s redevelopment.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with panelists and the project team during a moderated question-and-answer session.
This final phase builds upon community input gathered throughout the project and will further evaluate the feasibility of design ideas. Key technical questions to be explored include traffic solutions, land uses and density, and funding for future public amenities.
The outcomes of this phase will help shape the final recommendations and ensure that proposed solutions are both achievable and aligned with community interests.
City officials emphasize that the community’s continued participation remains essential as Pasadena refines a path forward that reflects residents’ priorities while meeting practical needs for long-term success.
More information and RSVP details (requested but not required) for the Sept. 13 workshop are available via the project StoryMap at https://bit.ly/RpmpStoryMap.
