The Pasadena Branch of the NAACP, in partnership with Councilmember Tyron Hampton, is urging San Gabriel Valley organizations and residents working to end discrimination to share their experiences ahead of the California Commission on the State of Hate’s upcoming meeting in Pasadena.
The outreach effort is part of United Against Hate Week, scheduled for Oct. 19–25, 2025. Feedback collected will help highlight local priorities and inform the Commission’s statewide work to combat hate and discrimination.
The Commission is scheduled to convene in Pasadena City Hall Council Chambers during the awareness week. Specific details about the meeting will be announced later.
The Pasadena NAACP said the goal is to ensure that community voices are represented at the state level. Community members and organizations are encouraged to complete a short survey at https://forms.gle/tVEz4sfzeNqv5sd16.
Jouslynn Griffin, Chair of WIN (Women in NAACP) and First Vice President of the Pasadena Branch, is serving as the primary contact for the initiative. She can be reached at winpasadena1054@gmail.com or naacppasadena@gmail.com.
