Councilmember Tyron Hampton has endorsed fellow Councilmember Justin Jones for another term serving District 3 on the Pasadena City Council. Hampton, who has served on the Pasadena City Council since 2015, praised Jones for his dedication to the District and his understanding of citywide issues.

“Councilmember Jones grew up in Pasadena, a PUSD graduate, and he returned to serve our community after graduating from college,” Hampton said. “I’m impressed by his commitment to ensuring District 3 residents are heard and his comprehensive understanding of both District 3 and citywide issues.”

Jones is a licensed Civil Engineer and proud alumnus of the Pasadena Unified School District. He has represented District 3 since 2022.

He characterizes his style of governance as “hands-on” and “practical.” Jones said he is dedicated to improving District 3 as a desirable place to live.

Jones is married to Natalya Romo, a Howard University graduate.

In response to the endorsement, Jones expressed his gratitude. “I am honored to receive the endorsement of Councilmember Hampton,” he said.

Hampton, who was raised in the historic Craftsman Heights neighborhood of District 3 and earlier in his career represented District 3 residents on the Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education, encouraged every District 3 voter to support Jones.

“I encourage every District 3 voter to join my immediate and expanded family who lives in District 3 to cast their vote for Councilmember Justin Jones,” Hampton said.
