
City officials have announced detailed information about street closures and restrictions for the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game as well as a new tool for the public this year: an interactive public access map on the City’s website with information on road closures, parking restrictions and detour routes.
Colorado Boulevard will once again close to motor vehicles earlier than in prior years for the staging of the Rose Parade.
Colorado Boulevard will close beginning at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, and will remain closed through the conclusion of the staging and clean-up following the parade.
The parade route will re-open by 2:00 pm on Monday, January 2.
To expedite travel in or through downtown Pasadena, City officials urge drivers to use Walnut Street or the I-210 ‘Foothill’ Freeway for east/west travel north of Colorado Blvd. and to use Del Mar Blvd. or Cordova St. for east/west travel south of Colorado Blvd. Colorado Blvd. crossing points are noted on the maps for north/south travel from 10 pm on 1/1 – 6 am on 1/2.
If you plan to host a viewing party or other Parade-related event or anticipate vendor deliveries on Sunday night or Monday and your property’s access is via Colorado Boulevard, officials as that you please let your guests and vendors know that they must arrive before 10 p.m. Sunday or park in areas without restricted parking and walk in. Remember, the parade route will reopen by 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2.
Visit Pasadena’s Visitor Hotline—(877) 793-9911—will be open Wednesday, Dec. 28, through Friday, Dec. 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 31, and Sunday, Jan. 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors can also utilize the online 2023 Spectator Guide.
