A fire broke out in a residential building in a commercial area on Palmetto Drive in West Pasadena late Monday night, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:09 p.m. on November 18 in the 50 block of Palmetto Drive, Campeau said.
Upon arrival, officers assisted with evacuations and traffic control, Campeau said. The fire department worked to extinguish the blaze while law enforcement assisted with ensuring the safety of residents.
All residents were safely evacuated and uninjured, Campeau said.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to Campeau.
Campeau said the Red Cross was notified to provide assistance to the residents.
