Fire Damages North Lake Avenue Restaurant Overnight

A fire broke out in the kitchen of Bobby’s Restaurant adjacent to Ralphs in the 100 block of North Lake Avenue at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday,

The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage, according to the Pasadena Fire Dept.

There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation. The blaze also caused minor smoke damage to two other nearby businesses.

Bobby’s Restaurant is a popular breakfast and brunch spot in Pasadena that opened in 1964, 59 years ago. The eatery previously was located for decades on the southwest corner of Walnut Street and El Molino Avenue.
