Pasadena Village and Connect 2 Rise are partnering with Ayuda Técnica para Mayores/Technical Assistance for Seniors (ATM), an organization founded by local high school students which provides bilingual tech support to seniors.

The initiative launches with a Free IT Cafe event offering one-on-one technology assistance in both English and Spanish for those needing help with computers, cell phones, and other devices.

The free event will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Connect 2 Rise, located at 2594 E Colorado Blvd in Pasadena.

The program is open to all community members and is sponsored by Janette Ledea, a Realtor/Consultant.

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops, smartphones, iPhones, watches, and other devices for personalized assistance.

According to the event announcement, the organization “provides 1:1 support in English and Spanish to seniors who do not have the opportunity to participate in other outreach programs.”

The event listing states that ATM student volunteers “have skills in computer science and bilingual communication” and are “looking to leave a positive impact on the community one step at a time.” The announcement adds that “The group wants to make a positive impact on their community one laptop at a time.”

Registration is required for attendance. Interested participants can register through the provided registration link.
