In line with its objective to educate its members and the general public on the roles played by amphibians and reptiles in the natural world, the Southwestern Herpetologists Society (SWHS) will be presenting a fun and educational reptile show at Pasadena’s Eaton Canyon Nature Center from October 28 (10 am to 4 pm) through October 29 (10 am to 3 pm).
The Eaton Canyon Nature Center is located at 1750 N. Altadena Drive, Pasadena.
Live reptiles and amphibians will be on display during the show and visitors will also enjoy presentations, a photo booth, raffle prizes, food and crafts. Also sponsoring the event is the California Turtle and Tortoise Club.
Founded in 1954 in Orange County, the SWHS has met continuously in a variety of locations over the years. The Society currently has two chapters, the Los Angeles Chapter in the San Fernando Valley and the San Gabriel Valley Chapter.
Membership in SWHS is open to anyone interested in the study and conservation of reptiles and amphibians.
