
Pasadena Fire received the commercial-structure fire call at 11:27 p.m. Sunday at 3601 E. Foothill Blvd. and dispatched three fire engines and multiple additional units, according to its incident log.
RMG News reported that workers using a grinder inside the store may have sparked the fire, which produced “moderate” smoke throughout the building. All employees and customers had already evacuated when firefighters arrived, the advisory stated.
Fire crews searched the store before locating the fire near the refrigerator department, according to the RMG News account.
No injuries were reported, according to RMG News.
The store will remain closed until the Health Department can clear it, city chief communications officer Lisa Derderian said.
The Fire Dept. closed its response nearly three hours after the callout, at 2:22 a.m., according to its incident log.
The Arcadia Fire Dept. and Los Angeles County provided mutual aid.
