Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today it received a contract to provide the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) with test and evaluation/training threat/target systems (T4S) for warfighter training and debriefing systems.
Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is expected to assist NAWCWD in its efforts to research, develop, deliver, sustain and upgrade its threat systems; range instrumentation equipment; range command and control equipment; data routing, storage and display equipment, as well as to provide software for pre-deployment aircrew warfighter training and weapons systems test and evaluation.
The contract is valued at $427 million over five years.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Senior Vice President Aerospace and Technology Darren Kraabel stated, “We’re proud to continue our longstanding work with the Navy. Jacobs has provided combat environment simulation support for the Navy and Department of Defense test and evaluation and training for more than 14 years through consecutive contract awards. With this new contract, Jacobs continues to provide systems engineering services to determine and deliver components for complex simulated combat environments in support of combat training systems.”
