Lincoln Properties, the developer of a major project in Old Pasadena called 10 West Walnut, located at the former Parsons headquarters, will be hosting a Trade Fair on Wednesday, February 19, at the Flintridge Center in Pasadena, with a session for entry-level workers from 8 to 10 a.m., and for experienced workers from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
All trades are welcome to this event, where you will have a chance to meet some of the sub-contractors for 10 West Walnut project. Flintridge Center will make their computer stations available to register on-site, and will be available to discuss their pre-apprenticeship classes.
Tables will be in Rooms A and B to meet with sub-contractors, fill out applications, and discuss sponsorships opportunities. Staff from the Foothill Workforce Development Board will be available to discuss services and resources.
10 West Walnut (10WW) is the largest real estate development in the history of Pasadena. Intended for completion this year is a five-story, Class A creative office building located within the larger development of 100 West Walnut in Pasadena. The master plan for the entire development transforms parking lots surrounding a large corporate headquarters into a mixed-use 233,000 square-foot complex that includes offices, residences, and commercial spaces.
The location of this project retains special historical relevance for the local community and businesses within the city.
As such, the owners and developer of 10WW agreed to implement a local hire initiative. Under this program, priority consideration will be given to local workers, local businesses and contractors, and local sourcing of materials and supplies.
Workers must be Pasadena residents to apply through the Trade Fair.
