Join America’s New Year Celebration as a Volunteer Member

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to help produce the Rose Parade, Rose Bowl Game and other events celebrating the New Year.

The Association will host a Volunteer Membership Open House on Thursday, March 30 at 6:00 p.m. at the historic Wrigley Mansion. Interested applicants can register online and learn more about being part of this long-standing Pasadena tradition.

“We are excited to welcome folks to stop by to meet our Members and hear about their experiences as volunteers,” 2024 Tournament of Roses President Alex Aghajanian told Pasadena Now. “Membership is an opportunity to not only be involved with high profile local events with a global impact, but also a way to give back to this community all year long.”

Volunteer members have the opportunity to collaborate with other team members in planning and executing many events that spread hope and joy around the world on New Year’s Day. They also proudly wear the famous Tournament white suit and have fun.

“In addition to bringing smiles to millions world-wide through The Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game, members also take part in hands-on volunteer experiences throughout the Pasadena area, all while forming lifelong friendships. I look forward to meeting prospective Members on March 30 and sharing the positive impact that membership has had for me and my family,” Aghajanian said.

To become a volunteer member, applicants must meet certain requirements, such as being between 21 and 70 years old, living or working within 25 miles of Pasadena City Hall, paying annual dues of $55 -$75 depending on member level, and being available to volunteer each year on and around January 1.

Volunteer availability is estimated by the Association to be 20 to 40 hours per year, in October, November and December — especially from December 27th, through January 5, 2024 including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (specific dates are subject to committee assignment).
