A 33-year-old Pasadena man was shot early Friday morning, police said.
The incident occurred around 3:01 a.m. near the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Esther Street, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Andrea Perez.
According to Perez an argument was heard followed by five to six gunshots in the area. A man was then reportedly heard screaming for help in the courtyard of the 600 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his upper left back. He was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital, where he is now in stable condition, said Perez.
The suspect reportedly fled in a red pickup truck. He is described as a heavyset Hispanic man in his thirties, with a beard. The weapon used was an unknown small caliber firearm, according to Perez.
